LHWRF’s Highlights
for the Year 2024
The year 2024 marked a transformative journey of
growth, innovation, and impact
for LHWRF
From the launch of the Agriculture-Based Livelihood Empowerment (ABLE) initiative to the expansion of our Lives Program and receiving recognition on national platforms, each milestone has strengthened our mission to enrich lives and empower livelihoods.
Through our efforts in healthcare, livelihoods, and environmental sustainability, and with the unwavering support of Lupin employees and our valued partners, we have positively impacted countless lives.
We deeply value your support and are thrilled to share and celebrate the achievements of
this remarkable year with you.
We have strategically transformed our livelihood program by launching the Agriculture-Based Livelihood Empowerment (ABLE) initiative, which focuses on supporting 20,000 small and marginal farmers in Maharashtra and Rajasthan. This climate resilient and technology-driven initiative aims to boost annual incomes by 25% within three years.
Our Lives Program has expanded with the introduction of three additional mobile medical vans—two in Rajasthan's Alwar district and one in Maharashtra's Palghar district.
This expansion enables the program to now serve 673 villages, providing vital screening and treatment for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)
We have provided essential nutritional support to 832 TB patients,77 pregnant women, and 755 malnourished children through the Nikshay-Mitra initiative. This comprehensive six-month program has been recognized by the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP) under the National Health Mission.
As part of our horticulture plantation initiatives, more than 10,400 saplings were planted across our worksite locations, engaging over 200 farmers. Lupin employees have actively participated in this initiatives, conducting staking demonstrations that protect plants from extreme weather, provide structural support, and ensure they grow upright with optimal sun exposure.
We have reinforced our commitment to environmental stewardship by rejuvenating water resources through the restoration of 22 check dams along the Madari Nala stream in Dhule and the construction of 275 temporary dams.
Additionally, we have empowered 300 farmers by providing 15,000 horticulture saplings and advanced irrigation systems, promoting sustainable agricultural practices in the Dhule and Nandurbar districts of Maharashtra through external supported projects.
Through our Employee Volunteering Initiative, we have accomplished more than 15,000 volunteering hours with the active participation of over 5,313 Lupin Ltd employees.
These volunteers contributed to rural communities by promoting sustainable agriculture, water conservation, tree plantation, and cleanliness drives, exemplifying social responsibility and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
Our Lives Program also strengthened healthcare delivery through targeted capacity-building workshops for Medical Officers, establishment of specialized NCD Corners at Primary and Community Health Centres, and advancement of infrastructure and digital solutions for enhanced patient care.
Community awareness initiatives were also conducted, including street plays and wall paintings, complemented by the installation of open gyms in partnership with Public Health Departments to promote active lifestyles.
We were honored with the
Times Now Champions of CSR and the prestigious Gold Category Award at the National CSR TIMES 2024.
Our grassroots impact through the Lives program received special commendation from the District Collectorate of Alwar during Independence Day celebrations.
We were also recognized for
Excellence in CSR Service by Amity Global Business School.
As we look back on this remarkable year, let's move forward into 2025 with the same determination and vision—
aiming for new heights, expanding our impact, and continuing to enrich lives and empower livelihoods.
Wishing everyone a joyous and prosperous New Year ahead!
